How can I get fun books to read?

You can request “fun” or even “not fun” books from member libraries of the Yavapai Library Network which include public, school, and college libraries. Search for books, DVDs, and video games using the Library catalog and place a hold on the items. After placing your hold, your item is delivered to the ERAU library where you can check it out using your ERAU ID. Fiction ebooks and audiobooks are also available through Overdrive by selecting Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on the "Sign In" menu and then sign in with your ERNIE credentials.

How do I access newspapers?

Print copies of several newspapers are kept in the library, including the Arizona Republic, the Daily Courier (Prescott), the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. How do I obtain something I need if it is not in the Hazy Library Collections or available through the Yavapai Library Network?

ERAU students, faculty and staff may request items through the Request from Another Library (ILL) page by using one of the request forms. If you think the Hazy Library should purchase a specific title for our collection, please use the Purchase Request Form to submit a purchase suggestion.

Does the library have textbooks?

The Hazy Library does not buy textbooks, but sometimes we receive textbook donations. You can check the library for a specific library in these ways:

EagleSearch
EagleSearch will check our catalog and databases to see if a title is available.
 

Textbooks on Reserve
We also receive textbooks on loan from the bookstore which are available on Reserves.  You may check if a textbook is on reserve by searching the catalog or calling the library at 928-777-3811 and ask if the title you need is available.

Is there a charge for printing?

Printing in the Library is free for all printing including color and posters. There are b/w and color printers available on both floors of the library and two plotters on the second floor.  Our printing page has a list of printers and their names for reference.

Are cell phones allowed in the library?

Yes.  We ask that you use your cell phone for conversations either outdoors or in the lobby/vestibule area, being careful to not disturb other library patrons.  Cell phone use is prohibited in The Worthington Reading Room which is a designated silent zone.

Is there a quiet place to study in the library?

There are 3 QUIET Zones in the Library, designated as areas to keep voices low. The Worthington Reading Room 118 is a SILENT Zone where NEITHER talking NOR cell phone conversations are permitted.
